I used to use the words ‘universe’ and ‘soul’ endlessly.
If you’ve read any of my books or follow me for a longer time, you’ve come across these words uncountable times. 🙂
Now, you never see me use them. (Unless I accidentally slip up on autopilot.)
Why don’t I use these words anymore?
Because they reinforce the idea of separation:
There’s you, the universe, and your soul. All separate entities.
But that’s not the way it is.
You are not a part of the universe and your soul is not a part of you.
It’s ALL one.
Just like there’s no ‘you’, ‘me’, and ‘others’.
There’s only Life, Oneness, Pure Awareness—an undivided whole that encompasses and gives birth to every thing and every one.
You are not a part of that.
You ARE that.
That’s why I no longer speak of ‘universe’ or ‘soul’.
It doesn’t do justice to what I now know to be true.
And yes, I still talk of ‘I’ and ‘you’ which, strictly speaking, also reinforces the idea of separation. Even though none exists.
But here’s the thing: language itself is rooted in duality.
It’s a tool we use to communicate, but it can never fully capture the truth of Oneness.
And that’s okay.
As long as we remember this:
We all share the same source, the same being.
We ARE the same being, appearing as separate forms.
