DAY 5: OVER DELIVERING
This week, I’ve been sharing common signs that hidden barriers may be affecting your growth. Today, we’re diving into something many of us struggle with: over delivering.
You might think over delivering is a good thing—going above and beyond for your clients, giving them more than they expect.
So how do you know if you deliver TOO much?
When you feel slightly robbed, cheated, or depleted after working with clients or selling a product.
The cost of always giving more than what was agreed upon is high.
It’s exhausting, stressful, and you can even end up resenting your clients or your business.
Over delivering might seem like generosity, but often, it’s a sign of something deeper.
A hidden fear that what you offer isn’t enough.
A worry that if you don’t go above and beyond, people will be disappointed.
Or maybe a belief that you have to give more in order to justify your prices (or even your personal worth …) because deep down, you’re not sure your work is valuable enough.
The result?
You end up feeling drained, exhausted, and undervalued.
Over delivering is a way of hiding from those deeper fears and insecurities.
And the more you over deliver, the more likely you are to burn out, lose passion for your work, and feel resentful.
The good news? You don’t have to keep giving more to prove the value of your work.
(And you NEVER EVER have to prove, defend or earn your personal worth!)
When you make a simple shift in consciousness, you’ll see that your value doesn’t come from how much you give or do—it’s inherent in who you are and the work you already do.
And when you stop over delivering, you can show up fully, feeling more aligned, energized, and free.
In my workshop Break Free—effortlessly overcome your hidden barriers without pushing, forcing or figuring anything out, I’ll teach you how to make this shift—so you can dissolve the hidden barriers that keep you over delivering.
