Here’s something I fiercely believed but no longer do:

The idea that you need to integrate insights.

That you need to embody whatever shifted.

That if you don’t, you’ll fall back into old patterns.

Repeat the same mistakes.

It sounds plausible.

Important, even.

You don’t want to lose what you gained and stay stuck in the same old rut!

But it’s just another way the mind keeps you trapped in its endless game:

How can I improve what I am? What I have? What I do?

How can I heal what’s broken?

How can I make sure life only gets better from here?

How can I prevent the same shit from happening again?

And so the search continues—

For growth, evolution, a better way to be.

And when something shifts, the mind jumps in:

Don’t lose this!

Hold onto it.

Make sure to embody and integrate this shift.

But nothing ever needed holding.

Nothing was ever gained.

Nothing needs to be embodied.

And nothing needs to be integrated.

Because who would do that?

The idea that you are moving through life is the illusion.

There is no ‘you’ separate from what’s happening.

There is no ‘you’ apart from Life.

There is nothing to hold onto and nothing to lose.

Insights come and go.

Shifts happen.

Life unfolds exactly as it does.

And you never had anything to do with any of it.

Love,
