One of my clients once described a deep emptiness—what she called a bottomless void.
I knew exactly what she meant.
Nearly everyone experiences this at some point—whether they realize it or not.
It shows up in different ways:
- A vague emptiness
- A sense that something’s missing
- A quiet restlessness
- A lack of meaning
- A knowing that ‘more’ exists—without knowing what it is
This is what keeps us searching.
The emptiness, this sense of lack, is what people try to fill and/or avoid.
At its core, this is the feeling of separation—the forgetting of your true nature.
You are not separate. You are Life itself.
The belief in separation and seeing yourself only as a separate individual is what makes this human experience possible.
At the same time, it is the deepest source of restlessness, lack, and emptiness.
You forgot the wholeness that you deeply are.
Most people spend their lives trying to fill this void with distractions, achievements, and endless doing.
But eventually, avoiding it stops working.
When you’re ready to go beyond the mind, you can no longer escape the restlessness.
This void is not a problem—it’s a portal.
A calling home.
If you feel this emptiness, stop.
Stop searching, stop finding distractions, and stop trying to fix it.
Turn inward. Get quiet. Let the emptiness speak.
When you do, this emptiness can be the portal to your true nature, to remembering who (or what) you REALLY are.
Until you turn within, the search never ends.
Listen to the restlessness.
The wholeness you seek is just beyond it.
Notice what the silence says.
It’s already here.
Love,
P.S.: If my words resonate, my work might too.
You’ll find ways to go deeper here.
