“I don’t know why,” she said. “Maybe I don’t feel that I’m worth it? Maybe I’m scared that I can’t live up to the expectations?”
She came to me because she wanted to raise her prices.
Significantly.
Her calendar was full and her clients were happy.
She wasn’t.
Even though her fees were already good, she was still underselling her talent.
She’d wanted to raise her fees for at least two years. But somehow, she couldn’t.
Despite everything she’d tried.
She made lists of benefits of hiring her.
(It was a long list.)
She changed her business model and streamlined her prices so the whole structure made sense.
(It still felt off.)
Then, she turned inwards.
Maybe she lacked self-confidence?
Maybe she was just scared to take a stand for her work?
Or was she just having self-worth issues?
She’d been going round in circles, analyses, and solutions for years.
And nothing changed.
“Can you help me find the root of the problem so I can finally raise my fees?” she said when we first spoke.
“No,” I said.
And said nothing.
And she said nothing.
And a strange, loud silence hung between us for what felt like forever.
“Oh,” she said.
“But then … what … why would I work with you?”
“Because there’s no point in thinking about this more, and finding yet another cause, or a slightly different fear, or work on your energy or vibration more,” I said.
“If any of that would help, you’d not be where you are. You’d already have raised your fees.
Of course, there’d be another thing you should ‘work on’ next.
And after that, the next thing to conquer would come up.
And you’d hire the next coach, and you’d journal some more, and dig into your mindset even deeper, and raised your vibration so high it could touch the moon.
And there would still be a new thing that felt off.
You’d still feel like there was something missing, or something you needed to achieve or change first before you could feel happy.
It would be like it’s always been.”
She looked at me.
I saw something shift behind her eyes.
“You’re right,” she said, “I have been going from one goal or hurdle to the next. So, how can I stop that?”
“That’s the heart of my work,” I said.
“We stop it by no longer focusing on the problem nor a solution. We leave it alone.”
She didn’t really understand what I was talking about.
But she felt that this was what she needed.
Even though she didn’t know what ‘this’ was exactly.
Three months later, we hadn’t talked about her prices, her self-worth or her mindset.
At all.
And one day, when she talked to a potential new client, she suddenly heard herself mention a higher price than she’d ever asked before.
Just like that.
Unplanned and out of the blue.
She didn’t get that project.
And she didn’t care.
She’d just seen something had shifted without any effort, and was blown away by it.
One month after that, she’d doubled her fees and sold a project at her new price.
This is what happens in private coaching:
Things shift.
And you don’t know how it happened.
But more importantly:
Whatever you struggled with is solved or …
No longer bugs you.
You see that you don’t have to solve the problem to be free of it.
If you’re tired of always working towards the next thing, overcoming yet another hurdle, and working even more on yourself, my private coaching is for you.
Read more about it here.
What I said may not make sense, but if it’s for you … you’ll feel it.
Love,

P.S. Three months after our coaching ended, she sent me a message to let me know her fees were now triple what she asked before.
It just happened, she said.
Without working on her mindset, visualizing, or increasing her self-worth somehow.
All of these can only take you so far before you enter yet another ceiling or hurdle.
It never ends.
Until it does.
