“Three months is quite an investment of time,” she wrote.
She was interested in my coaching and shot me an email to ask more about how it worked.
And this was her response to how long people usually work with me.
I get that 3 months may be too long for some.
But there’s a reason I generally stick to it.
Because it’s easy to get insights.
You can have a major breakthrough in 5 minutes and get multiple insights and breakthroughs during a 2-week period.
You leave super happy.
And then.
Daily life knocks.
You get sick. Your cat vomits on your brand-new carpet. An unexpected bill triggers long forgotten money stress.
And those insights and breakthroughs bring you exactly nowhere.
Even if you remember them in the heat of the moment, you can’t do anything with them. They’re buried under ‘oh-god-oh-god-oh-gods’.
That’s why I work with people for a minimum of 3 months:
Because it’s in those stressful, cat-vomiting, bill-fearing, sickness-panic moments that you need me most.
Those are the moments you want to be able to reach out. That’s when you want to vent or ask for help or simply share what happened.
Not to mention the moments where I point out the blind spots you can’t see yourself. Or how you make things harder when they can be so much easier.
If you offer the kind of coaching where you work on writing sales copy, or create a strategic marketing plan, you can easily work with someone for a shorter period of time and deliver great work.
But when you shift into a new way of being and seeing?
You need more.
I’ve offered different types of private coaching before. Like single sessions, or Voxer coaching for a month.
It works. People get results and see changes.
And …
I see better results when I work with someone longer.
And also …
I most LOVE working with someone for a longer period of time.
I love getting to know you.
I love seeing what changes.
I love to be there for all your moods and happenings.
I just LOVE it.
And that’s the MAIN reason why I only work with you for at least 3 months.
(Turns out the things I love doing most also get you the best results. Funny how that works.)
Are you doing what you love most?
In the way you most love doing it?
To loving what you do,
Love,
