Maybe you’ll be happy once you’ve finally fixed yourself.
Maybe you can relax after you push through this week.
This project.
The next 13 years.
It’s a deeply engrained belief that doing leads to getting.
That effort equals reward.
That if you want Y, you need to do X first.
Everyone knows actions precede results.
They cause results.
And so you drive yourself crazy with all the things you should do.
You work harder because you want more—
whatever ‘more’ that is for you.
When results come in, you feel good.
You did this! Yay you!
When results stall, you feel bad.
Why???
And how can you fix it?!
It’s a never-ending marathon.
Until, one day, you just … stop.
Everyone around you is still running, passing you by,
running towards a non-existing finish line.
And suddenly you wonder:
Why am I running?
Where am I running to?
What happens when I walk instead of run?
And you walk.
Everyone around you still runs.
You see them sweating, hear them panting, watch them hurting, exhausting themselves, only stopping occasionally for a quick sip of water or toilet break and then they run, run, RUN again.
You take sips of water, too.
Take toilet breaks.
But you don’t hurt.
You don’t exhaust yourself.
You just walk.
You even caught yourself whistling and smiling for no reason.
Pretty soon, you see an exit.
It was always there.
You were just so focused on that non-existing finish line that you never saw it.
You see it now.
You take it.
Behind you, you still hear panting sweating hurting running.
But you?
You stopped.
You stroll.
You’re free.
Love,

P.S. If you’re done running but don’t know how to stop—
or fear everything will fall apart when you do—
my private coaching might be for you.
