You have an idea for a course.
A book.
Something you want,
a goal to strive for.
But …
There’s no inspiration for a next step.
It’s not that you’re stuck.
Or afraid.
There’s a soft knowing that it’s not yet time to act.
The mind doesn’t like this.
What do you mean, ‘not yet’?
If you want to something,
you’ve got to go for it.
Make it happen!
You feel the pull to move.
To do something, anything.
Because nothing gets created if you don’t act.
So, you brainstorm.
Make lists of things to do.
Talk it over with a friend,
or a coach.
Because, you think:
If life gives me an idea,
shouldn’t I act on it?
Doesn’t inspiration mean obligation?
It makes no sense.
You keep checking in.
Revisit the idea.
Not because anything’s wrong.
(Even though you wonder if there is.)
But because the silence is unbearable.
But what if ‘not yet’
doesn’t mean you’re blocked.
Or wrong.
Or missing something.
What if ‘not yet’ isn’t a sign or a fear—
just truth?
It’s not yet time.
There’s nothing to do.
An idea floats in your orbit,
without needing anything from you yet.
Leave it empty.
Love,
