Yesterday I wrote about on Social Media about a Release, Surrender & Let Go List.

I found the idea in one of my blogs from 2017 and felt drawn to make this list again. There’s always more to let go of, and some things need to be released (much) more than once.

I made my list this morning.

There aren’t many material things on it. I’m good at letting stuff go and enjoy recycling or throwing out I no longer need.

There are no people to say goodbye to. My space is filled with people I enjoy hanging out with (because I already said goodbye to those I no longer want around me).

But when I started writing down thoughts I’d like to release, a ton of them came out.

None of them new. I’ve released them before. Not completely, obviously, since they’re still present. That’s fine. I keep releasing them as often as needed until they no longer bother me.

I share some of them below because I’m not the only one who thinks these thoughts. Pretty much everyone I know recognizes most if not all of them.

If you recognize them, too, you can put them on your own Release, Surrender & Let Go List. Then, shift or ditch them in any way that feels right for you:

  • I must be doing something wrong.
  • There’s something wrong with me.
  • I’m not good enough.
  • I’m not capable enough.
  • This isn’t possible for me. (‘This’ can be anything I want but don’t believe I can have.)

 

Recognize anything?

If so, focus on everything that’s right with you and you’re doing right. Look at how you’re already more than good and capable enough. Open your mind to bigger possibilities and opportunities.

These thoughts don’t serve you and there not true. Or at least, they’re not the WHOLE truth.

You may make a mistake, for example, but that doesn’t mean you’re not good enough or you never do anything right.
