No wonder. Women have been silenced, ignored, or simply not been safe when they spoke their truth for centuries.
It’s deeply engrained in most women to not rock the boat, not stand out, be mindful to not be ‘too much’, and to keep a low profile to be or feel safe.
Whether you’re aware of having received (and internalized) these messages or not:
If you have ANY issue around visibility or speaking up, this affected you.
I’m not saying that to make you or women in general feel like a victim.
I’m saying it to make you understand that it’s NOT YOU and there is NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.
AND:
You can choose different now.
Don’t hide anymore.
Don’t hide who you are, what you stand for, and how you can contribute.
Don’t hide what you believe in.
Don’t hide your voice or presence.
Regardless of what you have to share or how ‘big’ or ‘small’ an audience you seek for it: don’t hide.
Yes, it can be scary.
Yes, you may have have learned to hide who you are and what you believe in.
But you can choose to UNLEARN that now.
Focus on the value you can share and the difference you can make.
Focus on how your business, your potential clients, and YOU benefit when you step up and share whatever you feel called to share.
Focus on the FUN of visibility – because, yes, it can be FUN and PLAYFUL!
And believe you me, I NEVER thought I’d say that, because I HATED making myself or my business visible.
Not anymore.
I LIKE it now.
Not all the time and not every day, but in general?
Because I have a message to share and a purpose to live.
Because *I* run my business & life – NOT my fears.
