The idea instantly spoke to me: my own little playground!
I intended it to be a little quiet corner on the internet. A place where likeminded women entrepreneurs could hangout together, find quiet, and get inspired.
For over a year, I really enjoyed the group.
The inspiration flowed regularly, and I loved getting to know the women in the group.
But a couple of months ago, I didn’t really feel like hanging out in my own hangout anymore.
The inspiration and joy were gone. I didn’t know what to post anymore.
I thought that maybe it was simply a phase that would pass. And that I’d feel inspired again later.
I decided to wait until the end of summer because I know me: I can sometimes pull the plug on things a bit too quickly.
So I waited.
But the joy and inspiration haven’t returned.
I think it’s because:
- I’m simply played out. It was fun while it lasted, and now it’s run it’s course;
- I regularly get confused about what to post where: what do I post on my Facebook business page? What do I post in my Facebook client groups? What do I post in my free Happy Hermit Hangout? Jeez. Too complicated. I prefer things to be simple.
- I don’t want the group to be too big, ‘cause: too much work. So I don’t do anything to attract more women into the group. Which is OK. And at the same time, it’s not: it feels like there’s no progress or growth of any kind. And that bores me. And I’m not inspired to find different ways to stretch and grow myself in this area.
- Because it no longer feels inspired there’s really no reason to hold onto it. Everything that’s not IN the flow ends up BLOCKING the flow. And that’s why I’ve decided to pull the plug and close the group on September 22.

To all the women who were in this group: THANK YOU.
I enjoyed hanging out with you, and I appreciate you wanting to hang out with me!
Most of what I used to post in the Happy Hermit Hangout, I will now post on that page.
To all other women entrepreneurs: feel free to like my page, too!
And now: over to you!
What no longer feels inspiring in your business or life?
Give yourself permission to stop doing it.
You change, grow and evolve all the time – and the things you enjoy doing change as a result of that, too.
Don’t feel obligated to keep on doing the same old same old, simply because you once said yes to it.
Or because others are expecting you to keep doing it.
Everything that’s not IN the flow will end up BLOCKING your flow.
It drains your energy. And it stands in the way of new things being created by you.
Let go of the old to make space for the new.
It’s your business and life, so YOU choose how to run and live it.
