happy smiley between sad onesHow do you stand out from so many others in your field? A question most women coaches find very hard to answer.

But standing out doesn’t have to be hard. You already have something NOBODY else in the whole wide world has:

Who you are is unique. So all you have to do to stand out, is add more YOU to your business.

Here’s how you can do that:

Tip #1: Share your story

Tell us why you started your business. How you overcame the obstacles your clients now experience.

There’s a story behind every step you take in your business.

Some examples to get your story-juices flowing:

  • Why did you create a certain program?
  • How did you pick the color for your logo?
  • What does your logo represent & mean to you?
  • What made you write a certain article?
  • What do you love most about your work, and why?
  • What’s your favorite business book, and why?

I bet you can think of dozens of stories. Collect them. And start sharing them (more).

Tip #2: What others always say about you

What’s the top-3 compliments people gave you about your business, work (or yourself) in the past couple of years? What is it people always say about you?

Pay attention to these remarks ESPECIALLY when YOU don’t think it’s such a big deal yourself.

Here’s the thing: whatever feels normal and not that special to you, feels that way because you’re born with it.

You’re used to it, don’t know any better, and probably even think that everyone can do it.

But it IS special to others – if it was truly normal and most people could do it, no one would ever think to compliment you for it, right?

I mean, how often have you told people how great it is that they can read? How much you admire them because they can drive a car or ride a bicycle?

I guess you never said that to anyone. Because it’s not that remarkable.

Start noticing the compliments you get, and really receive them. Once you’re clear what you hear people say about you every time, you can start using it in your marketing.

Tip #3: Share something personal

Show us who you are. Let us know what books you like, or what your favorite food is. It can be anything.

Remember: you decide what you do or don’t want to share with others.

Determine what you do (and don’t!) want to share, and play with it.

The more people get to know you, the easier it is for them to feel connected to you. And the easier it is to attract your ideal clients to you.
