Letting Go - Creative Commons by gnuckx

Last week I mentioned that one of the journals every entrepreneur needs is an inner work journal.

This morning I read some of my old journals, to reconstruct exactly what I did (and how) to break through my own barriers last year.

Two things struck me when I leafed through the pages.

The first thing was how awful it felt to be stuck.

Reading some things in my old journals connected me to those feelings again.
It made me extra grateful for were I am today, and the freedom I now feel to go out in the world and full-heartedly make the difference I was born to make.

The second thing I felt was how much I wish for you to experience this feeling of freedom as well.

Not only because it makes YOU feel better, but also because I truly believe that the world needs every heart-centered entrepreneur and change agent to stand up and make the difference they were born to make.

And that includes you….

But like me, you might need some sort of breakthrough to be able to do this.

I will teach you more about this in my upcoming free call, but if you want to prepare yourself and get started today, this is how you can do this:

Make room for your breakthrough.

How?

By letting go of something (or someone) that no longer serves you.

Something that doesn’t excite you or you have no use for anymore.

Something that drains your energy and maybe even prevents you from moving forward.

These are some of the things I let go of over the past 2 years – maybe one of them resonates with you:

  • Several workshops and coaching programs;
  • Old notes and ideas that no longer inspired me;
  • Hopes and dreams that I no longer desired (sometimes you think you still want something, but if you take a closer look, you realize that you really don’t);
  • Stuff I no longer needed or wanted (old clothes for example);
  • Ideas and opinions of myself that reflected who I was but not who I had become.

“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.”

Lao Tzu

Letting go of what no longer serves you makes room for something new.

You have to let go of something old to make room for change. Always.

Even if you’re not clear what it is you want to make room for, you need to let go first. (Because answers and inspiration need space as well.)

You don’t have to let go of everything at once.

You can if you want to or if you feel that it’s time to take a giant leap.

But it’s OK to take it one step at a time.

Let go of something TODAY, and allow new beginnings to unfold in the space you’ve created.

This week’s Transformational Action

  1. Ask yourself: what do I need to let go of that no longer serves me (and might even be holding me back)?
  2. Write down everything that comes to mind
  3. Choose one thing you can let go of today
  4. Thank it for everything it has brought and taught you, and finally
  5. Let go…

“The beautiful journey of today can only begin when we learn to let go of yesterday.”

Steve Maraboli
